
The research community is celebrating a remarkable milestone as Union Christian College (UCC), in partnership with the Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions (SIMP) and the Ascendens Asia International Research Institute (AAIRI), successfully hosted the 8th SIMP–AAIRI–UCC Joint Multidisciplinary Research Conference Plus on November 29, 2025.
With the theme “Global Synergy in Research and Innovation: Advancing Knowledge, Leadership, and Sustainable Development,” the conference brought together researchers, scholars, and academic leaders for a full day of insightful presentations, collaborative discussions, and knowledge exchange.
This year’s conference featured an impressive lineup of 54 research presenters, composed of 22 graduate and faculty researchers and 32 undergraduate students from various institutions. Engagement reached new heights with over 630 observers attending both onsite and virtually—further strengthening the event’s position as a leading platform for interdisciplinary research and academic dialogue.
Participating institutions included Union Christian College, University of Luzon, Divine Word College of Vigan, the Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and the University of Perpetual Help System – Pangasinan.
The 8th SIMP–AAIRI–UCC Joint Multidisciplinary Research Conference Plus stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and the continuous pursuit of academic excellence.
Leadership Perspectives

The plenary session featured Dr. Mohamad Firdaus Ahmad, Sports Management Coordinator at the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, UiTM Negeri Sembilan Branch, Seremban Campus, Malaysia. His thought-provoking discussion on Artificial Intelligence left a strong impact on participants, encapsulated in this powerful message:
“The future shaped by AI is not something that we wait for; it is something that we build. We build it by educating, leading, and equipping our people with the competencies to thrive. AI will not determine our destiny; human readiness will.”
Dr. Ahmad’s insights underscored the critical balance between technological advancement and human capability, inspiring participants to consider their role in creating a future-ready society.

The 8JMRCP conference concluded with inspiring closing remarks from Mr. Daniel Ignacio, underscoring the power of collaboration, innovation, and engagement in research.
