The academic community is abuzz with anticipation as Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP), in collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions (SIMP) and Ascendens Asia International Research Institute (AAIRI), prepares to host one of the most awaited academic events of the year—the 9th SIMP-AAIRI-BCP Multidisciplinary Research Festival (9MRF).
With the theme “Innovate for Tomorrow: Charting the Future Through Research,” the festival is set to run from May 6 to 10, 2025, and promises to be a showcase of innovation, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
This year, the 9MRF is expecting a record-breaking 1,866 research paper submissions from both Senior High School and College students. Over 9,000 students across campuses are anticipated to participate, marking the event as a significant milestone in BCP’s academic calendar.
The festival will officially kick off on May 7 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening at the BCP Annex Campus. The day will also feature the presentation of 58 carefully selected research papers in an elimination roundthat will continue into the following day, providing a platform for young researchers to share their findings and engage with a wider academic audience.
The excitement will culminate on May 10, 2025, at the BCP MV Campus, where the Championship Round will take place. The top research teams will compete for the championship titles, with Php 20,000 awarded to the College Champion and Php 15,000 for the Senior High School Champion.
Adding to the thrill, the research adviser of the college champion group, along with six selected student researchers, will receive a special prize: a 4-day, 3-night educational trip to Malaysia, scheduled from July 25 to 28, 2025—a well-deserved reward for excellence and dedication.
On the final day, research presenters will face a distinguished panel of on-site judges from various professional fields, ensuring a fair, multidisciplinary assessment of their work.
With its scale, diversity, and impact, the 9th SIMP-AAIRI-BCP Multidisciplinary Research Festival is more than a competition—it is a celebration of knowledge, innovation, and the bright minds shaping the future.
