The 1st SIMP – AAIRI – ICC Multidisciplinary Research Festival – College Category successfully gathered scholars, educators, and researchers for a dynamic exploration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Multidisciplinary Social and Ethical Research. Held on June 5, 2024, at Los Arcos De Hermano, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, the event fostered discussions on the evolving role of AI in education, business, and society.

The festival commenced with an inspiring Welcome Remarks from Dr. Marcelino V. Agana, FRIM, School President of Immaculada Concepcion College (ICC). This was followed by Opening Remarks from Danika Christyn Astilla-Magoncia, MPM, Vice President for Research Education and Advocacy at Ascendens Asia International Research Institute (AAIRI) Pte. Ltd., setting the stage for an engaging and thought-provoking event.
Plenary Talk: AI’s Transformative Role in Education
A key highlight of the event was the Plenary Talk on “Bridging the Digital Divide: Artificial Intelligence (AI)’s Transformative Role in Education,” delivered by Joenel L. Carlos, CBMP™. As the Vice President for Operations and Systems Services at Ascendens Asia Group and a Consultant for Digital Marketing and Operations, Mr. Carlos provided invaluable insights into how AI is reshaping educational access and learning methodologies, emphasizing the importance of ethical AI applications.
The plenary session was introduced by Maria Angelina T. Hermosa, MAEd, LPT, Research Coordinator and Program Head of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology at ICC, underscoring the significance of AI-driven innovation in various fields.
