8MRF SMCIQC returns on March 4, 2026 for the 8th SIMP–AAIRI–SMCIQC Multidisciplinary Research Festival, bringing together student researchers, faculty, and academic leaders to advance the theme: “Research for Resilience, Innovation, and Sustainability.” In an era shaped by rapid change—technological shifts, social complexities, and environmental pressures—this festival provides a structured space where research becomes not only an academic requirement, but a practical response to real needs.
Hosted in partnership with St. Mary’s College Inc., Quezon City (SMCIQC), the festival is anchored in a values-driven learning culture. SMCIQC emphasizes the Ignacian core values of Faith, Excellence, and Service, which align naturally with responsible research practice—truth-seeking, quality scholarship, and work that benefits communities. This alignment strengthens the festival’s direction: research that is credible, ethical, and oriented toward impact.

Resilience calls researchers to examine how people and institutions adapt, recover, and thrive amid disruption—whether in education, governance, health, or community development. Innovation challenges participants to move beyond “what is” and propose “what could be,” using evidence to shape better systems, tools, and strategies. Sustainability ensures that solutions are not temporary—encouraging research that respects resources, improves long-term outcomes, and supports shared responsibility.
8MRF SMCIQC features a multidisciplinary platform designed to strengthen both rigor and relevance. Participants can look forward to:
- Research presentations that promote cross-disciplinary learning and constructive critique
- Scholarly feedback environments that support improvement, refinement, and clearer research communication
- Networking and collaboration opportunities among institutions with shared goals for academic growth and community contribution

The SIMP–AAIRI–SMCIQC Research Festival is also an invitation to institutions seeking meaningful academic partnerships—those looking to strengthen research culture, mentoring systems, publication readiness, and ethical standards. Through a professional, low-pressure collaboration approach, partner institutions can explore pathways for joint initiatives that enhance capacity building and research visibility, while maintaining academic integrity and institutional independence.
As we prepare for March 4, we invite participants and partner schools to contribute research that is grounded, future-facing, and socially responsible—because the strongest innovations are those built with evidence, guided by values, and designed to endure.
