8th SIMP – AAIRI – BCP Multidisciplinary Research Festival

The 8th SIMP – AAIRI – BCP Multidisciplinary Research Festival successfully took place on December 9, 2024, at Bestlink College of the Philippines (BCP), Quezon City. This prestigious research event gathered scholars, educators, and professionals to explore the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in multidisciplinary social and ethical research.

Distinguished Guests and Opening Ceremonies

The festival commenced with Welcome Remarks by FDr. Dr. Maria M. Vicente, HFRI, DFRIEdr, DFRIEntr, DFRIM, President & CEO of Bestlink College of the Philippines, who emphasized the institution’s commitment to fostering research excellence and AI-driven innovation. This was followed by Opening Remarks from FDr. Dr. Charlie I. Cariño, DFRIEdr, DFRIM, SFRIBA, RIIVPF, Vice President for Academic Affairs at BCP, who underscored the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in addressing contemporary challenges.

Plenary Talk: Bridging the Digital Divide

A key highlight of the event was the Plenary Talk delivered by Danika Christyn Astilla-Magoncia, MPA, Vice President for Research Education & Advocacy. Her presentation, titled “Bridging the Digital Divide: AI’s Transformative Role in Education,” provided an insightful discussion on how AI can reshape educational landscapes, bridge gaps in accessibility, and promote inclusive learning environments.

Closing the Festival

Cabacang, CBMEx™, DFRIBA, President of Singapore Institute of Multidisciplinary Professions Pte Ltd and President & CEO of Ascendens Asia Group. He commended the researchers for their outstanding contributions and emphasized the role of AI-driven research in shaping the future of education and industry.

The event was smoothly facilitated by Ms. Danicon M. Dulay, who served as the Master of Ceremonies.
